  • What type of music will Young Voices of the Foothills perform?
    We will learn and perform a wide variety of music from musical theater, to movie music, to folksongs, to vocal settings of poetry. Music that is written and arranged for children's and youth's voices will be emphasized.
  • Where are rehearsals held?
    Our Seneca Choir is held at St. Mark United Methodist Church - 616 Quincy Rd, Seneca, SC Our Pendleton Choir is held at First Baptist Church of Pendleton - 351 S Broad St, Pendleton, SC 29670 Our Anderson Choir is held at First Baptist Anderson. Young Voices of the Foothills rents their choir rehearsal space from the churches listed above. YVF is not affiliated with the church or its ministries.
  • How much is tuition and what does it cover?
    Grades 2-12 -Tuition is $180 for the entire semester and can be paid in 4 monthly installments of $45. A reduced rate of $170 is offered if paid in full by January 23, 2025. Tuition covers all materials (music, folder, pencils, rhythm instruments, online support), performance t-shirts, rehearsal rental space, and instructor support. A reduced rate of $140 is offered to the second (or more) child in each family. Primary Choir, grades K-1 is $100 for the entire semester and can be paid in 4 monthly installments of $25.
  • Will parents be asked to fundraise to supplement the operating costs of YVF?
    No. Fundraising is not a part of the regular operational cost of YVF. Should a special circumstance arise, such as a day trip to perform or an entry fee into a contest, it will be discussed with all families prior to commitment.
  • How long are rehearsals?
    Grades K-1 rehearse for 30 minutes weekly. Grades 2-12 rehearse for 1 hour weekly.
  • Will parents be required to stay onsite during rehearsals?
    No. Parents are welcome to drop their children off for the 1 hour rehearsal time. However, parents are welcome to stay onsite while the choirs rehearse.
